ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Romulus, MI. This position will cover multiple production areas including Kan-Ban, SMT and Assembly Cell.
Job Duties / Responsibilities: operate the machine, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators, and understand how to replenish supplies and components per Standard Operating Procedures
- Set-up of the machine, machine adjustments and ability to perform feeder loading and changing per the manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- General machine cleaning and upkeep per the Standard Operating Procedures
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Support Quality and Environmental Objects
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Procedures for handling and storing moisture sensitive devices (MSDs)
- ESD requirements for the manufacturing area
- General Instructions for handling and processing PCB’s
- Production output per customer requirements
- Component identification
- Understand safety and personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements of the area
- Basic understanding of non-conforming materials (NCM)
Language Skills:
Ability to read, speak, write and understand English. Be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings and specification sheets, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
