ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Infrastructure Engineer requiring a TS/SSBI located in Colorado Springs, CO. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.
In this Role, the Infrastructure Engineer will provide virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) installation support focusing on design, specification, integration, implementation and upgrade of enterprise-wide, large-scale data center VDI and virtualized infrastructure operating on complex distributed networks supporting large corporations and/or DoD entities. You will also provide CDI Administration delivering end user computing solutions focusing on design, specification, integration and implementation and of enterprise[1]wide, large-scale Multi-Level System architecture on complex distributed networks with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
For Junior Level: Must have at least 3 years of engineering experience PLUS RHCSA or MCTS/MCSA
For Mid-Level Roles: Must have at least 7 years of engineering experience PLUS RHCSA or MCTS/MCSA
For Senior Level Roles: Must have 12 years of engineering experience PLUS RHCSA or MCTS/MCSA
- It is Required to have a TS/SSBI to start, candidates with TS/SBI will also be considered but must be upgraded to SCI.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Virtual desktops, storage environments and remote desktop solutions • VMware ESXi 5.x/6, vCenter, vRealize operations, vRealize Orchestrator • Datacenter automation for deployment of Virtual and Physical server assets • Integration with help desk ticketing systems • Powershell, Perl & C • Securing virtual machines and disaster recovery planning • API’s (REST), orchestration and automation • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) • Minimum Certifications Required: VCP6-CMA or VCAP-CMA VMware ESXi 5.x, vCenter, vCloud, View, and ThinApp, and SRM. • Desktop (client) hardware including thin clients, repurposed PCs and zero clients • Virtual desktops, storage environments and remote desktop solutions • Hewlett Packard (HP) Proliant BL G7/G8 server series installation, advanced disk subsystem and networking configuration • Server-client continuity of operations infrastructure • Raytheon Trusted Thin Client Software (design, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance) • RedHat Enterprise Linux 6 with SE Linux and trusted labeling extensions (installation, configuration, operation and maintenance) • Familiarity with HP, Dell, and Cisco server and client hardware including thin and small form factor PCs • Updating firmware, changing Bios settings, Raid configurations etc. • VMware View architecture and operation • Experience with the interaction and operation of VMware Horizon View, with Horizon View Linux Client, integrated with Raytheon Trusted Thin Client • Cisco Jabber softphone • Windows Server 2012 R2 technology (AD/DNS/DHCP) Page 13 of 19 • Multi-Level Systems Information Assurance as pertaining to Documenting, Securing, Accreditation, and Operation • Testing Multi-Level Systems including documentation and remediation • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Multiple backup and recovery technologies and Advanced Disk Functions (i.e. Cloning, Snapshots, Virtualization) • Enterprise application thin-app packaging processes, distribution of thin-apps and associated best practices • Desktop pools, Personal Computer over Internet Protocol (PCoIP) technologies, thin- printing, linked and full clone implementations • VMware View architecture components (connection server, agent, client, and composer) • Flash memory based network storage appliances • Distributed control systems security • Securing virtual machines and disaster recovery planning • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Minimum Certifications Required: VCP
