Acton’s products and services are employed in some of the most highly specialized areas of Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Electronic and Chemical industries. We are recruiting for someone to join our team as a Batch Process Operator.
The Batch Process Operators general responsibilities are to initiate process of various orders as directed by their Supervisor or Department Manager. “Process” refers to the core business of Acton Technologies of chemically etching a variety of parts or film in a range of sizes of shapes made in whole or part of a fluoropolymer material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Pulling proper paperwork at the start of any batch
- Determining if there are any special customer instructions related to the batch by reading any process control log associated with any order, following steps outlined on the process control log and logging required process parameters
- Taking, labeling and e-mailing process photos
- Loading parts on to any special tooling necessary for etching or as per customer requirement
- Rinsing of parts in an alcohol bath after etching
- Rinsing the parts in a water bath after the alcohol bath
- Inspection of work for evidence of proper processing
- Proper packaging of finished job for shipping
- Proper processing of paperwork for shipping
- Other regular duties that are required are related to set up, break down, clean up and maintenance of work areas and any other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Completion of all required safety training
- Completion of all required training for various process work instructions
- Responding to overtime situations or other increased demands
- Performance of all other duties as assigned by management and supervisors
Physical Requirements

The employee is frequently required to stand, up to three hours, and occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in an unrestrictive and sometimes repetitive manner. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception with our without corrective lenses.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of factory/manufacturing related experience
- Training in general safety such as lock out/tag out and MSDS'
- Forklift experience
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and two fifteen minute paid breaks daily. We have one shift available as follows: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
