Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Project Manager - Infrastructure with extensive experience in managing enterprise infrastructure projects, specifically overseeing the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and working with Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both OS migration and cloud infrastructure, enabling seamless integration of on-premise and cloud-based solutions. This role demands strong leadership and coordination skills, coupled with technical proficiency in IT infrastructure and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the enterprise-wide Windows 10 to Windows 11 rollout, ensuring smooth transition across all phases—planning, deployment, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets while ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including desktop engineering, IT operations, security, and third-party vendors to ensure compatibility, performance, and security of the Windows 11 migration.
• Manage the integration of Azure cloud infrastructure with Windows 11 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance across on-premise and cloud platforms.
• Oversee the deployment of necessary drivers, patches, and application updates, ensuring seamless end-user experiences during the migration.
• Coordinate testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware and software compatibility across Windows 11, Azure, and enterprise applications.
• Develop and execute communication plans for end-users, including training, documentation, and post-rollout support services.
• Monitor and manage Azure-based resources, ensuring scalability and performance during and after the Windows 11 rollout.
• Provide regular updates, performance reports, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, governance standards, and compliance with security protocols, both on-prem and in the Azure environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including OS migrations and cloud platform integration.
• Proven experience with Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure platform services, including virtual machines, networking, identity management (Azure AD), and storage.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure, device management (SCCM, Intune), security practices, and endpoint management.
• Ability to manage hybrid environments involving on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure cloud migration projects, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and managing Azure-based resources.
• Deep knowledge of Windows 11 architecture, security features, and device management tools.
• Experience integrating cloud-based and on-premise applications within a secure environment.
• Familiarity with automation tools for cloud deployment and monitoring (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
