Position Summary
Acuren Inspection is looking for an Operations Planner to support our Richburg, SC operations. Interpret incoming client orders, extract technical requirements and develop test plans, interfacing with clients and technical staff where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Interpret incoming client orders and develop testing plans ensuring;
- Requirements including the methods to be used are adequately defined and understood;
- The laboratory has the capability and resources to meet the requirements;
- The appropriate test methods are selected and capable of meeting clients’ requirements;
- All referenced specifications/standards include revisions applicable to the required testing.
- Resolve any questions regarding the validity of the requirements by contacting the client.
- Secure client approval for any proposed deviation from the order.
- Maintain traceability of client-supplied material.
- Produce travelers to accompany the work through the laboratory process conveying technical requirements, billing information and delivery commitments.
- Where subcontracting is required, adhere to the Quality Assurance System requirements for source selection, subcontract order creation and conveyance of applicable technical requirements to the subcontract source.
- Log work into system.
- Create customer quotations.
- Prepare test reports.
- Perform various clerical, administrative tasks as assigned.
- Promote a culture of safe operation and peak performance in an environment of shared respect.
- Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in aerospace materials laboratory setting or aerospace materials-related field.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical specifications and drawings.
- Ability to travel periodically (<10%).
- Aerospace OEM quality requirements familiarity preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills including correct basic grammar, spelling, punctuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required.
