What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN position at Acute Response Inc?

Duties:

  • Provides direct nursing care and support services to patients being tested for the novel coronavirus.
  • Provide direct nursing care within LVN scope of practice and support services to physicians/providers. Collect nasopharyngeal specimens from patients.
  • Patient Communication: Explain collection process to patients and/or care giver. Provide patient isolation directions following collection. Answer patient questions as necessary.
  • Quality and Patient Safety: Assist with clinical quality improvement efforts and oversee infection control practice.
  • Patient workflow: Prepare the exam room and document collections properly. Supplies: Maintain rooms and clinical supply inventory.
  • Emergency management: Work as team member in emergency situations and maintain emergency supplies. Perform front desk duties as necessary.

Skills:

  • CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATION- Minimum: Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse license and BLS within 30 days of hire.
  • TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Must have general proficiency in computer skills, including use of electronic medical records.

Education:

  • LEVEL OF EDUCATION- Minimum: Education or training necessary to obtain California LVN license

**Must be fully COVID vaccinated**
