What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analytics Engineer position at ACV?
The Sr. Analytics Engineer’s primary objective is to guide ACV in identifying and meeting the needs of its customers. This role is focused primarily on supporting our Capital Product team by delivering actionable insights in a highly independent manner using Data and Analytics.
What you will do (Responsibilities):
Develop and analyze large data sets
Build reports and dashboards to give stakeholders visibility into relevant metrics
Continually optimize our lending portfolio’s risk exposure and credit limit ceilings
Proactively surface opportunities to grow business and provide data driven actionable solutions to execute on customer journey/lifecycle optimization
Present recommendations on initiatives and influence stakeholders through data and thoughtful interpretation of findings
Independent project ownership. Identify and organize key stakeholders, define scope, timeline, and execution of implementation plan without supervision
Present analysis of a business area to stakeholders and support follow on questions, converting business questions into technical requirements
Train and mentor fellow Analytics Engineers
Develop and deliver plans for Analytics Organization and/or Technical Growth
Design and develop programs that will advance ACV towards a future state of business analysis and execution using company and external data
What you will need (Skills, Experience, Education):
BA/BS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree
-or- college or university degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
Masters/Ph.D. is ideal but can be offset by experience in the field and a deep toolbox
Deep SME in financial services; Credit Risk, Payment Systems, Accounting, Audit, etc.
5 years of relevant, professional work experience related to position
Experience designing and executing on major initiatives from the ground up
Experience delivering on projects using multiple toolkits and for multiple teams
Ability to navigate conflicting technical requirements and work collaboratively across projects towards a win-win solution
Functional competency in Python
Strong Professional Experience with MySQL / BigQuery
Experience with data visualization / dashboarding tools like Tableau
Experience doing complex queries and transformations on large data sets
Expertise in exploratory data analysis and the basics of data-driven reasoning are a must
Compensation: $145,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
