In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor within a team; with the support and guidance of leadership, you will be responsible for completing assignments by defined deadlines and supporting department operations. You will begin to develop an awareness and understanding of the department's financial strategy, as well as interact with stakeholders. Primary expectations for a Financial Analyst II include:
- Development of influential skills to communicate financial data and drive consensus
- Exhibits an extensive attention to detail, with the ability to review financial data and identify discrepancies for further evaluation
- Performs the analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned programs
- Supports the development and implementation of fiscal operating policies and procedures
- Supports the development, maintenance, and establishment of operational specifications for financial information systems
- Analyzes business development projections and reports upon business performance by business unit
- Works with financial leadership to define and measure key performance indicators; analyzing and interpreting financial and operational performance, and tracks key operational objectives and strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business units
- Analyzes financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making financial decisions
- Assembles spreadsheets, charts and graphs used to illustrate financial data
- Develops and supports the analysis of monthly corporate and business unit financial statements, and quarterly and annual financial data and prepares internal management analyses
- May also support the coordination, negotiation, and resolution of financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements
- Researches new policies and regulations and projects the potential impact on the Company and its financials
- May be responsible for the evaluation of time charging and utilization and works with leaders to correct errors, in absence of junior Financial Analysts
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience
- Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education
- Proficient with software such as Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel to devise graphs and presentations
- At least 1 year of experience associated with government contracting rules and regulations
- Ability to apply financial principles and processes to support organizational operations
- Experienced with financial reporting tools, inclusive of Unanet, Deltek or other solutions
- Government contract experience is required

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility.
