Position will be assigned to Patrol Division. Job duties and responsibilities will be performed under the general supervision of the Records Supervisors in accordance with our established policies and procedures.
This position requires the ability to perform a variety of complex clerical and communication tasks. Performance of job duties and responsibilities will be reviewed for accuracy and thoroughness.
Examples of Duties for SuccessMonitor police radio and transmit a variety of information to commissioned employees Monitor building alarms Conduct a variety of inquiries, entries, modifications, and cancellations utilizing the CCIC / NCIC computer, and the Adams County Sheriff's Office Records Management System Process police reports;
update, prepare, scan, and audit records Will need to be able to know the statutory requirements for the access and dissemination of all criminal justice records and all legal issues associated with dissemination Confer and direct citizens to desired Divisions.
Assist citizens with obtaining copies of reports for court, insurance agencies, and / or counseling Process incoming mail and forward copies of reports to insurance agencies, Probation Department, Parole and various other agencies Upload Misdemeanor and Traffic cases to the DA's Office Collect money for copies of reports, background clearances, photographs / videos, and mug shots Enter and cancel warrants into computer systems as instructed by Warrants Section Ability to handle numerous tasks at one time and be able to complete each task with accuracy Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties and assist other Divisions Enter / scan / audit traffic tickets and contact cards into the Records Management System Cover for other neighboring jurisdictions during the night shiftQualifications for SuccessAbility to type 30 wpm Must be able to obtain and maintain CCIC / NCIC certification High School Diploma or equivalent Experience desired including public contact and computer usageMore Qualifications for SuccessAbility to deal with a variety of people Ability to handle numerous tasks at one time and must be able to complete each task with accuracy Good oral and written communication skillsMust adhere to the confidentiality policy as it applies to this position.
