Our client is the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club. Join their team and enjoy working on the water! We are currently searching for a Dock Supervisor to supervise dock locations in Southern New Jersey.
Responsibilities of the Dock Supervisor include:
- Adhere to approved staffing plans and budgets
- Hire, train, manage, coach, and support your dock staff. Cultivate a safe, collaborative, rewarding work environment for your team
- Proactively develop, issue, and manage dock staff schedules (days and hours of work) in accordance with your staffing plans, resolve staffing issues that arise. Confirm payroll is accurate
- Ensure sites and offices are safe, clean, and configured to facilitate efficient and convenient dock operations for staff and members alike
- Deliver an excellent member experience, resolve issues, and report all incidents promptly
- Work on the docks as needed, when filling an open shift or training new employees
- Ensure that member fuel charges are processed accurately and timely
- Submit expense reports for yourself and your docks monthly and on-time
- Collaborate with your colleagues to provide off-days for one another
- Practice fiscal responsibility by monitoring and controlling expenses, managing inventory and payroll
- Support local events and various club activities
- Ensure fleet is well maintained by:
- Repairing non-engine items (e.g., fuses, props, speakers, ladders, screws, etc.)
- Collaborating with Fleet Manager to schedule oil changes and other routine maintenance in our reservation system
- Collaborating with Fleet Manager & the MRT to report major mechanical failures and schedule replacement boats (if possible)
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- High School diploma minimum, Degree preferred
- Able to work a flexible schedule and travel between locations
