A large, international law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate to join their team. This person can go into any of the firm's 25 U.
S. office OR can choose to work 100% remote. The position involves representing insurers with regard to coverage advice and litigation.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington state.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
2 years of insurance coverage experience. Licensed to practice law in California.
