Adaptimmune is a fast paced, exciting cell therapy company that is currently growing to meet its expanding portfolio. An exciting position has become available in our Project Management department, for a CMC/Manufacturing Project Manager to focus on our late-stage products.
We are looking for a motivated, experienced Project Manager with strong experience in CMC/Manufacturing, who can adapt to a fast-changing business.
This role will be assigned to primarily late phase oncology clinical development projects, focusing on operational execution and delivery of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control (CMC) related deliverables, including T-Cell, vector and quality work packages. As and when required the role will provide support to early phase projects and other non-CMC deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical and strategic understanding of the CMC project team’s work packages.
- Ensure CMC functional leads are actively engaged with the CMC project team members responsible for the execution of deliverables and driving timely execution of each work package.
- Ensure real-time update and maintenance of the detailed CMC Project Plans/ timelines.
- Ensure key timeline shifts (positive or negative shifts) are escalated to Product Program/Project Lead and Program Manager.
- Ensure issues are actively assessed and, as necessary, remediation plans are built and executed to resolve issue or lessen impact of issue.
- Ensure mitigation plans are built for identified key risks and mitigation plans are executed accordingly.
- Drives regular lessons learned sessions to help share learnings throughout the business.
- Work with CMC Project Leader and CMC Project team members to ensure positive team spirit and high functioning project team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related area or business
- Minimum 7-10 years of CMC, Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience (preferably in both small and large companies)
- 3-5 years of drug development project management experience
- MS/MBA or PhD preferred
- Project Management Professional(PMP)® or Prince 2 certification
- Experience with late phase CMC projects
