About the Team: The IM Business Systems Team develops, implements, and maintains, leading edge IT systems in support of the discovery of novel cancer immunotherapy products. Our scope includes research, clinical, and manufacturing. As a member of the IM Business Systems Team, you will be part of a global organization that plays a critical role in creating the digital ecosystem required to deliver our therapy to cancer patients.
This role will work with our Corporate and Commercial functions to implement sustainable fit-for-purpose IT capabilities and deliver a high level of reliability and responsiveness in daily IT operations. Scope includes current and future IT capabilities including but not limited to internal and external systems, solutions, platforms, applications, data management, integrations, process, services and procedures.
Primary Responsibility
- Management of the build and run of corporate and commercial solutions and services as assigned.
- Consult and advise on direction of IT capabilities for Finance, HR, and Commercial in alignment with IT architecture.
- Author requirements, use cases, process flow documents with business stakeholders, and execute on implementation plans through rollout and operations.
- Drive quality and scalability in IT business systems and ensure efficient and effective operational IT processes that adapt to the dynamics of the business.
- Ensure all IT services meet expectations and align to best practices in IT architecture, IT security, compliance, and IT production operations.
- Assist in the delivery of new solutions and system enhancements.
- Enable the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
For new systems implementation, assist in the execution of the IT software development life cycle including:
- Provide input into business case development,
- Actively participate in solution evaluation and selection,
- Author requirements, business process and data mapping documentation,
- Create technical requirement documentation, including systems configuration/design specifications.
- Drive technical implementation, related integrations and systems testing,
- Assist with user training.
- Manage technical components of production roll-out.
- Ensure systems are fit-for-purpose for our business processes,
For existing systems:
- Serve as point of contact for system enhancement requests.
- Serve as the initial point of escalation from help desk for system issues.
qualifications & experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field or relevant combination of education and experience required.
- 8 years of relevant experience in IT with a combination of experience in leading and directing IT solution delivery projects and system ownership.
- 3 years of IT experience working within Corporate Systems, Finance and/or other IT partner functions in the Pharma domain.
- Previous Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience
- Experience managing business systems in a regulated environment, GxP and computer system validation processes (CSV)
Desirable
- Bio-tech experience
- Experience with formal SDLC and Agile development methodologies
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical/life sciences commercial product launch.
- Experience managing & operating Financial and Human Resource systems including master data management, integration with adjacent systems or downstream systems nice to have.
- Experience supporting SOX audits.
- Knowledge of industry standard cloud-based SaaS solutions
- Knowledge of cloud hosted infrastructure environment (e.g. AWS and Azure)
