RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee daily duties of intake specialist providing guidance in problem resolving, to ensure
quality standards are being met and proper procedures are being followed.
- Serve as initial point of contact for intake specialist, therapist, and prospective client families,
educating them on service offerings and intake process.
- Establish work schedules, organizes, and directs the flow of work. Adjusting individual
assignments to meet the needs of the Organization.
- Reviews work and productivity reports to ensure the quality and quantity of work performed
meets established goals and to determine areas for improvement.
- Suggests and participates in quality improvement initiatives for the work unit and the
department.
- Participates in educational activities and attend staff meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality that adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Assists in development and communication to improve accuracy and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient access, registration, billing, and/or insurance, with working
knowledge of obtaining referrals and authorizations or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Must have strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures with the ability to be
proactive and take initiative. Exhibit high level of quality through attention to detail and monitoring of
work. Possession of strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as
exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
EDUCATION
High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher in business or related field desired.
