Job Summary:
As a Team Member Relations Specialist at Addiction Campuses you will assist with facilitating and managing employee relations on behalf of the company, including workplace issues and investigations, maintaining the policies, procedures, and programs of the company’s People department, in addition to developing and improving programs related to employee morale and satisfaction.
Priority responsibilities include:
- Handles routine employee relations and human resource inquiries related to policies and procedures; refers complex matters to Team Member Relations Manager.
- Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of team member complaints.
- Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs Team Member Relations Manager when additional investigation is required.
- Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion particularly as related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Communicates with team members regarding employee relations concerns; provides guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues.
- Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee issues, and understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline, conflict management, and related topics.
- Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with management.
- Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1, affirmative action plans, and employee handbooks.
- Collects and analyzes information and data necessary to define and discern cost and policy implications of issues. This may include pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances and reports results to Team Member Relations Manager.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, employee relations, and human resources, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other similar federal and state laws.
- Explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and team members and collaborates with legal counsel on all EEOC claims and legal matters as needed.
- Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company’s standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning employee relations preferred.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and thorough understanding of dispute resolution
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, boards, officials, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports, and compile, research, and analyze information.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field requires
- At least 4-5 years of professional human resource administration required with experience in employee relations preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use hands and fingers, talk or hear
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and reach continually. Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions
