How You’ll Make an Impact

As the Manager of HR Operations, you will support our mission by working with leaders and team members across the credit union to ensure Addition Financial is a great place to work for everyone. Your primary focus will be to provide consultative support in the HR functional areas of total compensation and benefits, employee health and wellness, change management, employee relations, HR compliance and infrastructure, and HR technology. To achieve this, you’ll need to be comfortable working with subject matter experts, industry professionals, external vendors, internal stakeholders, and department leadership to assess efficiency gaps, identify operational needs, and implement appropriate people-centric solutions. In addition to influencing change at the strategic level, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, guiding, and supporting a team of 3 or more HR professionals and managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function.  


This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will partner strategically with the Manager of Organizational Development and Manager of Talent Development to support the attraction, engagement, growth, and retention of team members throughout the credit union.


Additionally, you will:

  • Champion the vision, direction, and culture of the HR team by managing individual and team performance expectations, holding the team accountable to meet and exceed performance goals, and promoting service excellence.  
  • Plan, design, develop, and evaluate HR operations infrastructure, processes, solutions, and interventions in support of making Addition Financial a top employer of choice. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps in employee touchpoints and their root causes, recommending appropriate interventions that align with Addition Financial's business goals and strategic imperatives. 
  • Assist in managing & planning and oversee promotion and administration of mandatory and voluntary employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, short & long-term disability, 401(k), EAP, workers compensation, unemployment, and COBRA.
  • Oversee 401(k) administration, including employee enrollment, reinstatement, compliance, reconciliation, billing, loans, and employee education surrounding the plan.
  • Manage and maintain Addition Financial’s HR technologies, including administration of the corporate HRIS, intranet pages, and vendor portals.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and matters of corrective action. 
  • Partner with area leadership teams to align site-specific priorities with overarching credit union goals such as diversity & inclusion, employee engagement, and employee health & wellness.
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance, i.e. Affirmative Action, EEO, Department of Labor.
  • Interpret and consistently apply HR policies, procedures and programs, working with management to balance business and employee needs.
  • Create and execute measurement strategies for all HR operations initiatives, accounting for effectiveness and demonstrating business impact. 
  • Drive a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor current developments and trends in employee benefit and personnel practices and proposed/implements changes as appropriate.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in employee relations, compensation and benefits, workforce management and related HR disciplines.
  • 2 years of people management experience, with a focus on coaching, developing, and/or mentoring members of a team. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing a robust benefits program for 500 employees, including experience managing a 401(k) plan.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative interpersonal relationships with stakeholders across business units.
  • Ability to operationalize educational research into practical application. 
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence across organizational levels and lines of business.
  • Strong public speaking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • An innovative mindset with a global perspective on problem resolution.
  • A high degree of maturity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Initiative and the ability to manage multiple complex projects with limited direction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Functional competency in the use of computers, including word processing and spreadsheet tools.

Highly qualified candidates will also bring:

  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CEBS, or similar professional human resources certification. 
  • Administrator-level experience with HRIS platforms (preferably Paylocity).
  • Knowledge of credit union operations, products, and services.
  • Experience with Asana project management software.

This position is based in our corporate Operations Center (Lake Mary, FL) but may require occasional work outside of standard business hours and the ability to travel to all Addition Financial locations within Florida.
