A full-time Nurse position is available in Latrobe, PA.
Monday-Friday daylight hours
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To monitor policies and procedures regarding Medication Management, Client Education (relating to treatment), Surveillance, Prevention, and Control of Infection and health screening process. Participates in conducting training for staff and management of those trainings.
- Monitors policies regarding educating clients about illness, medication, and treatment
- Conducts health screenings and trains staff in health screen procedures as well as medication management
- Conducts Medication and Infection-related audits for residential facilities
- Monitors the management of medications for youth in group living arrangements
- Administers medication to residents according to policy
- Monitor’s health status of youth
- Participate in agency nurse’s on-call rotation
- Educates parents, staff, and clients on medication and health concerns
- Documents required information and completes required reports in timely manner
- Intervenes in crisis situations with appropriate counseling as necessary, including Safe Crisis Management
- Trains new staff in administration of oral and non-oral medications
Education: Registered Nurse license required. Must be registered in the state of Pennsylvania.
