The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patient’s plan of care; while creating an atmosphere that supports our vision: To be our regions’ most trusted partner in healthcare. The Staff Nurse, RN as the primary care giver provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assessment and Diagnosis: collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation and analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.
- Outcomes / Evaluation Identification, Planning and Implementation: identifies suspected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation and implements the identified plan, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes and accurately completes all documentation.
- Quality of Practice: systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Education, Professional Practice Evaluation and Research: attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice and evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes and regulations. Integrates research findings into practice. Keeps current on knowledge within scope of practice. Chapter 4723-4 Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) requires the RN to remain current.

- Collaboration: collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice.

Minimum/Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within three years from the date of hire.
- Registered Nurse with current Ohio license
