Junior Designer

adeo, a woman owned and led, award-winning creative communications agency in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a talented designer to join our team. We are in search of an early-career professional (ideally with 1 years of marketing/agency experience) who is eager to join a high-performing team and be challenged with meaningful and interesting work.

We are looking for a creative individual who knows they have greater potential, and also appreciates that details and deadlines matter. You should have a keen mind for creative concepts and a sharp eye for design detail, as evidenced through your portfolio, past experience and personal work.

Ideally you are able to be in the Baltimore office a day or two a week, and for brainstorming or collaborative activities, as well as for internal learning events or just to hang out and have some commraderie together. The majority of our time is spent interacting via remote tools, so you should be comfortable with a hybrid approach, communication style and culture.

As a Junior Designer, you will support the team, the clients and projects towards successful outcomes, while continuing to learn and gain experience. 

Collaborate with Creative Experts: Work closely with our seasoned team of designers, strategists, and creative thinkers to develop compelling visual concepts and bring fresh ideas to the table. This is your chance to learn from the best while making your mark on meaningful projects.

Design Across Multiple Platforms: Support the design team in creating visually engaging digital and print materials, including social media graphics, web assets, marketing collateral, presentations, and more. Embrace the challenge of multi-tasking in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Contribute to Brand Storytelling: Play a vital role in shaping our clients' stories (and our own) through thoughtful, innovative design that captures their unique voice and vision. You'll help develop creative assets that tell a story, evoke emotion, and drive action.

Maintain Design Consistency: Assist in ensuring brand consistency across all design outputs, while also pushing creative boundaries and thinking outside the box. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in creating high-quality work that exceeds client expectations and meets deadlines and scope boundaries.

Leverage Project Management Tools: Use ClickUp to manage tasks, timelines, and project workflows, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. • 1  years of design experience in communications, marketing or public relations firms (or related agency experience.) 
• An exceptional creative thinker who is able to convey both strategic acumen and strong design foundations in your work…under tight deadlines and within project requirements.
• Mastery of design fundamentals and best practices.
• Self-learner who can learn, adapt and grow as needed to meet the challenges of the work.
• Actively engaged and building experience with emerging generative / creative AI tools and resources.
• Familiar and eager to expand your expertise in digital deployment tools and processes (web development, media platforms, etc.)
• Experienced in primary design focused tools (Figma, Adobe)
• Able to quickly adapt and learn admin / project management tools (ClickUp, Slack, Harvest).
• Inspiring attention to detail.
• Demonstrate your creativity, attention to detail and ability to research by incorporating the word "verisimilitude" into your cover letter.
• Having a "take the bull by the horns" approach where needed.
• Ability to work remotely and in person with team and clients as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills (and eager to improve in these areas as you gain experience).
• Driven, creative and resourceful.
• The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
