QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Control Inspector is a hands-on electro-mechanical inspector, must have knowledge of crimping and soldering, and will be responsible for executing general inspection functions, both visual and dimensional, including correctly and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting such results required by procedure.
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR: KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work independently to accomplish visual and dimensional mechanical inspection processes with minimal supervision to the highest quality department standard while adhering to best safety practices.
- Ability to inspect crimping and soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering level mechanical drawings.
- Ability to conduct in-process and final inspection processes confirming compliance to specifications.
- Ability to determine acceptance, rejection of materials presented for inspection.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and correctly and carefully entering data into the quality database.
- Assists Quality team members or management with failure and non-conforming material data recording and reporting.
- Accomplish inspection related tasks as directed by the Quality Department or upper management.
- Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering and other internal departments to further the interests of the company as a whole.
QULITY CONTROL INSPECTOR JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or GED Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control inspection
- Possess working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools and equipment used in the inspection and testing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Database
- Able to interpret blueprints/schematics and inspect and test final products to drawings and required standards under limited supervisor and technical support.
