Position Summary
Reporting to the Core Business Development Manager, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will achieve individual sales goals through a relational selling model to include all active and developmental AgriNomix and associated Partner solution offerings.  The RSM thoroughly understands customer needs, develops relationships with customers and provides a well-rounded solution to the customer.  Proactively originates new customer relationships through networking, referrals and face-to-face meetings.  Supports existing customer needs throughout relationship and offers a point of contact for much of their ongoing needs. The RSM’s primary function is to focus on regional sales, i.e., sales made on-site at the customer’s business.  The RSM will likely spend over 70% of their working hours outside of office at customer locations generating new core sales opportunities.
In this role, the RSM will always strive for 100% “Very Satisfied” customers while keeping in perspective.

The RSM will accomplish these goals through personal Stellar Performance and company-wide support.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Hunting new sales opportunities while maintaining (farming) and growing existing accounts. 
  2. Through CRM, documents and maintains the pipeline of sales opportunities; tracks and reports on the status of all proposal components.
  3. Through CRM, tracks won & lost business and documents causes. Regularly updates management with details for improvement and means to better qualify sales opportunities when being solicited.     
  4. Continually nurturing customer relations with face-to-face engagements as often as possible and on customer demand.
  5. Prepares and leads sales opportunity reviews with Core Business Sales Manager, and other management as necessary, to review and approve tactical direction.
  6. Accurately document customers’ requirements and facilities
  7. Works collaboratively with internal teams to design customer facility layouts, automation solutions and proposals. 
  8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations and conferences.
  9. Conducts market and trend assessments for region that result in actionable recommendations to management.
  10. Maintains knowledge of the industry and the competition.  Collects data from their competitor’s sales tactics and always keeps the organization aware.
  11. Develops and maintains effective and appropriate communication throughout the organization.
  12. Protects organization by keeping relevant information confidential.

Required Education and Experience
  • 3 years of industry related experience in a similar manufacturing & assembly sales environment.
  • High proficiency with Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, and professional apps.
  • The ability to travel 70% of the time.
 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Horticulture or related field of a study from an accredited university or college preferred.
  • Able to accurately read and interpret CAD design layouts for ease of communication internally and with customers.
  • A highly organized, proactive, and passionate approach to working in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment with a broad range of responsibilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously, with understanding of keeping management advised of important details.
  • Ability to think strategically (big picture) while performing tactically day-to-day (executing the plan).  
  • The ability to work with and process critical information and present in a comprehensive manner to management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: proven ability to communicate effectively and influence at various levels of the organization using relationship building and relevant technology.
