Overview: ADF International, a North American leader in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of complex steel structures and modular construction, is seeking a Production Manager for our steel fabrication plant in Great Falls, Montana. We are looking for candidates with relevant heavy manufacturing and production experience within the steel fabrication and construction industry.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor daily fabrication shop activities, ensuring efficient progress and resource management to meet production schedules and performance metrics
- Review schedules to make staffing, procedural, and duty assignment decisions, considering budgetary and time constraints
- Resolve production problems by reviewing operations and conferring with staff
- Establish workflow policies to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising safety
- Oversee a workforce of 150 employees, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and cost management
- Actively manage performance of personnel and processes in a manufacturing setting
- Provide motivation, guidance, and support to foremen and staff
- Responsible for timekeeping of the group
- Continuously identify and improve areas of weakness or inefficiency using A3 and other problem-solving methods
Requirements:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar technical field (required)
- AWS (American Welding Society) and CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certifications preferred
- Reasonable Suspicion certified
Experience:
- 7 to 10 years of structural steel or closely related production experience
- 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy structural steel manufacturing
- Experience with Metal Core, MCAW, and Flux Core, FCAW welding on heavy structural steel
- Experience welding and fabricating per AWS D1.1 and AISC specifications
- Experience identifying and applying LEAN principles/Kaizan events
Skills:

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of codes and standards for AISC, AWS, and CWB
- Understanding of structural steel welding and fabrication processes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer systems
- Knowledge of supervisory HR administrative functions, including performance reviews, timekeeping, disciplinary action, and applicable employment law
- Overall familiarity with each department of the organization
- Thorough understanding of heavy process welding and plans interpretation
