Position Summary:
This position is responsible for defining training that meets the current short-term needs and defined long-term initiatives of Retail. This position will be responsible for the development of training content (documents, videos, quizzes) for our e-learning platform. Create self-paced modules as required, general training as required, and other blended training solutions. A critical success factor in achieving these expectations is the ability to effectively impart training content to our sales force. Responsible to create monthly training guides for key products used in demonstrations
Essential Functions:
Build training materials to reflect the most current vendor product knowledge with respect to all consumer products and accessories.
Organize and develop training manuals, labs, exercises, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials as related to the specific courses developed for specific product categories.
Revise design of training curricula and methods to continuously improve the effectiveness of Sales Development programs.
Work closely with the Training Supervisor to Develop e-learning modules
Work closely with the product management team on focus demo products to develop training content and associate (demo-specialist) expectations.
Ensure professionalism of all materials and delivery.
Collaborate with Vendors/Subject Matter Experts to collect content for the Sales Development program.
Ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in an organized manner with attention to detail.
Coordinate scheduling and registration of training activities.
Arrange subject matter experts, training locations, and other logistical requirements for each course.
Research materials and maintain Vendor contact database.
May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet more complex requirements of the job.
Previous Retail Experience in the Consumer Electronics industry strongly preferred.
Ability to write literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance lectures.
Expected to become a subject matter expert on all our products and accessories.
Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, analyze, and solve problems, and complete paperwork accurately.
Experience working independently under pressure, performing multiple tasks, with multiple deadlines.
Manage and process requests for system access. Process rosters for certain course offerings.
Provide support and guidance on corporate-wide use of our Learning Management System.
Analyze and resolve Training System application issues.
Other Responsibilities:
Communicate directly with management and associates
Create and introduce SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) regarding Training and related matters
Qualifications & Requirements:
Detail Orientated
Self-motivated
Flexible schedule (primarily for periodic store training schedules)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong technical skills (responsible for maintaining online learning management system)
Able to receive a variety of instructions and ensure that they are carried out under a single common objective being the highest level of customer service.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite
Education/Experience:
1-2 years of proven experience in developing training learning materials
College degree preferred
Bilingual (English Spanish)
Computer proficient in common MS office programs & Adobe Suite
