Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

  • Evaluates overall regional performance according to organizational objectives by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data, metrics, and developing and applying plans for continuous improvement.
  • Plans and monitors the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress. Applies policies and procedures.
  • Ensures leases, contracts, and negotiations are secured as directed by the Senior Director.
  • Ensures all program-related documents and reports, including the Quality Assurance Program, Newsletter, Client Social Club, Funder reports, and billing activities are completed in a timely manner/per agency guidelines and that assigned programs are operating within budgets.
  • Facilitates the implementation and monitoring of the Quality Assurance Program for all assigned geographic areas to ensure consistency across programs. Reviews and revises annually, as indicated.
  • Ensures programs are meeting funder and auditing standards and successfully passes applicable audits.
  • Ensures HRIS and CMS is up to date and accurate for all assigned geographic areas monthly.
  • Works effectively with the Senior Director and the finance team to develop budgets and increase program revenues annually. Ensures fiscal health of the program, identifying measures/strategies to reduce operating expenses and increase revenues.
  • Complies with all safety standards and practices. Assists the Senior Director to ensure that safety standards are met per CARF standards across assigned geographic areas.

STRATEGIC PLANNING & GROWTH

  • Develops and implements strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas.
  • Collaborates with Senior Director to identify growth opportunities. Actively applies and pursues growth opportunities as directed by the Senior Director.
  • Researches & pursues new service modalities in both existing and emerging service areas within their region that are aligned with the mission and values of Adjoin.
  • Thinks futuristically about services and support to the IDD community and leads in innovative approaches to service provision.
  • Collaborates with Senior Director to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. Provides input and feedback in long-term business planning at the operational level.

PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP

  • Provides leadership and coaching to increase team member effectiveness and maintain adequate staffing for the region. Solves disputes that arise between team members or departments and ensures daily work is not hampered in any way. Supervises and empowers staff by providing constructive feedback. Ensures managers' accountability to meeting all duties and requirements.
  • Successfully manages human resources through effective and timely use of performance management activities, staff development, and succession planning.
  • Communicates critical issues (i.e., HR issues, critical SIRs, etc.) to the Senior Director and HR in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Completes all required training within required deadlines. Monitors and ensures all staff complete the required training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS & NETWORKING

  • Cultivates existing relationships with vendors with the goal of ensuring service growth and resources, and access to services.
  • Identifies and engages in network-building activities (e.g., community and professional organizations).
  • Represents the organization at meetings, conferences, marketing, and/or vendor fairs, as needed and appropriate.
  • Routinely visits community sites to observe interactions, training techniques, and quality of services being delivered.

MARKETING & FUNDRAISING

  • Plans, directs, and implements marketing efforts for assigned region.
  • Supports fundraising activities of the organization.

SAFETY & TRAINING

  • Complies with all safety standards and practices.
  • Assists the Senior Director to ensure that safety standards are met per CARF standards across assigned geographic areas.
  • Provides and attends all required meetings and in-services as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related human service field.
  • Significant experience managing multiple programs and services for adults with disabilities and/or Veterans, as applicable.
  • Excellent staff development skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated success developing, expanding, and evaluating program models and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or others.
  • Advanced computing and applications skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements
  • Deep understanding of Human Resources practices.
  • Capability to oversee and monitor budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability in the area of strategic thinking.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition, and proof of current CA driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree.
  • Nonprofit business management experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of populations within human services field.
  • Legislative policy advocacy skills.
  • Human Resources training and/or certification.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel within and throughout the counties in which services are provided a minimum of 75% of the time.
  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
  • Physical evaluations may be required dependent upon specific assigned duties or compliance requirements and may include a TB test and/or a lift and transfer test.
  • Acceptable DMV record.
