SolidWorks Drafter

Join our team as a SolidWorks Draftsman and help us continue to grow as a leading sheet metal fabricator in the tri-state area. As a SolidWorks Draftsman, you'll be integral in translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings and 3d models, playing a pivotal role in the creation of custom sheet metal products for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with our management and fabrication teams to transform initial concepts into detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret and translate sketches, blueprints, and specifications into digital drafts
• Create comprehensive technical drawings, including sheet metal flat patterns, assemblies, and detailed schematics.
• Ensure that designs adhere to sheet metal fabrication standards, maximizing efficiency and minimizing material waste.
• Revise and update existing drawings as needed, maintaining clear and organized documentation of changes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address design-related inquiries and offer creative solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, offering valuable insights to improve product functionality and manufacturability.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in using SolidWorks or similar platforms for sheet metal design and drafting.
• Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex design specifications accurately.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing enviroment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and effectively convey design ideas.
• Familiarity with other sheet metal software/tools is a plus.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
