Accounts Receivable Associate

This is a full time, permanent, ON-SITE role located in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Downloading daily credit card transactions from Clover portal, uploading to a custom App for reporting, and posting related AR cash receipts, and applying AR collections to outstanding invoices
• Running daily reports of remote deposits from PNC Pinnacle and posting related AR Cash receipts, and applying AR collections to outstanding invoices
• Assuring that customer deposit cash receipts are applied to customers invoices after posting of invoices for delivery
• Serving as a backup to electronically integrate customer sales orders from the sales order system into the accounting system
• Primary responsibility to integrate sales order returns and referral fees
• Posting AR invoices by transferring sales orders to invoice
• Sending sales orders/invoice to On Account customers after posting invoice
• Calling retail customers in advance of their scheduled delivery to remind them of their delivery and balance due
• Processing customer credit card transactions on the Clover system
• Generating monthly AR statements for On Account Customers
• Following up with customers to collect past due balances
• Reviewing listing of dated open sales orders to determine if any of those should have been invoiced, but were not due to delivery log errors or otherwise
• Reviewing customer accounts for deminimus/rounding balances and writing off those small over or underpayments

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferable
• Must be customer service oriented not only with external customers, but in dealing with internal employees as well.
• Must have good organizational and time management skills and be able to handle responsibilities with little supervision
