Hours: If you want to add a few hours a week/month to earn extra income this job is perfect for you! This is a part-time contracted position. Hours are scheduled when convenient for you and the family you are working with.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a current Assessor, or be an L.S.W
- Current licensure through the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board (if applicable) with Tier I and II Assessor certificate preferred
- Experience with adoptions and or foster care home studies
- Adoption and/or parenting experience helpful
- Commitment to family and human services
- Culturally sensitive
- Ability to listen, assess, and give appropriate counsel
- Ability to negotiate
- Ability to work with all types of people and to function as an advocate
- Willingness to work as a team member with flexibility and creativity
- Knowledge of ODJFS adoption procedures, and children’s issues
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
RELATIONSHIP:
Responsible to: Program Manager of AAN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To perform homestudies for approved applicants
- To make post placement supervisory visits and post-finalization services
