Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management
- The Mechanical Technician is responsible for fabrication and assembly of aircraft jacks and ground support equipment.
- Our technicians utilize their skills to bring products to life. By referencing engineering drawings, process specifications and work orders they fabricate parts, assemble, test and provide the final touches to our products.
- The Mechanical Technicians work closely with the Director of Operations, engineers and inventory personnel to help the business achieve production goals
- We run a clean shop and the Technician is responsible for the upkeep of his or her area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Technicians are also cross trained to support other functions with the business to avoid production bottlenecks
Role Specification:
- Fabricates components and assembles hydraulic jacks and other equipment based on engineering drawings to produce finished products
- Performs evaluations for the repair or calibration of in service equipment Prepares weldments Installs hydraulic components and systems Tests products Performs final QC inspection of products
- Packs finished products Ensures that finished products meet the customer requirements

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Assembly Technician in a production environment Ability to read engineering drawings MIG and TIG welding abilities are preferred Ability to operate a forklift competently and safely Understanding of hydraulic systems preferred but not required
- Proficient in the use of standard aviation hand tools and fabrication equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to read, write and speak English
Compensation
