Office Nurse
Abington Pediatric Associates is currently seeking a Office Nurse to join their team in Abington, Pennsylvania.
About the role:
This position is primarily responsible for providing general nursing care to patients by performing the following duties
Duties:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interview patients, measures vital signs, such as heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information in electronic charts.
- Administers prescribed vaccines and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Prepares equipment and aides provider during treatment and examination of patient.
- Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests.
- Documents history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
- Initiates a patient education plan appropriate with age.
- Responsible for the overall flow of the schedule.
- Educate and assist medical assistant and aides with procedures.
- Prepares rooms, equipment, and stock supplies.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN).
- A two-year practical nursing license, LPN/ RN license preferred.
- 2-year college or university program certificate; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation commensurate with experience. ($28-$30 per hour)
