RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPOND TO CUSTOMER REQUESTS VIA PHONE & EMAIL
- Source products and develop quotes based on customer requests
- Become familiabvr with partner vendors and making product suggestions
- Research and price new products and identify new vendors as needed
- Negotiate with vendors on pricing & delivery
- Make recommendations on contracts or other funding vehicles
- Develop relationships to generate repeat business
ACT AS CONTRACT EXPERT
- Consult and make recommendations on use of ADS large contract vehicles
- Oversee and consult on directly awarded customer-specific contracts
- Will be working with both small and multimillion dollar contracts across a spectrum of customers
SALES ADMINISTRATION
- New customer setup
- Order booking & delivery instructions
- Post-order follow up
UTILIZE SALESFORCE CRM
- Track all activities & opportunities
SUPPORT OUTSIDE SALES REPS
- Provide recommendations for deal strategy
- Assist in closing sales
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5 years of relevant (B-to-G) sales experience may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion
- Minimum 4 years of sales & customer support experience in a non-call center environment
- For internal candidates - Senior IR Candidates encouraged to apply
- Must be able to operate in a completely unscripted environment
- 3 years' experience with MS Office in a work environment, particularly Excel & Outlook
- Salesforce CRM experience required
- Must have a highly developed ability to multi-task.
- This position is expected to be able to switch gears quickly and be able to comfortably operate with multiple interruptions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills must be able to talk to new people with ease
- Prior experience with government contracts strongly preferred
- Extended hours and occasional travel (3-4X/year) may be required
