Job Posting for Commissioning Technician at Ads Services Llc
The Commissioning Technician has the primary responsibility to correctly install and maintain the ADS Services and Power Chokes products to the highest of quality. It is the Commissioning Technician’s responsibility to do this while maintaining and expanding on customer relationships.
Essential Functions:
Performs system specification, design, architecture, and development for Control Systems
Performs design prototyping, including field implementation and testing
Develop standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use
Duties may include generation of PLC Code, Bill of Materials, One-Line Drawings, Wire Lists, Schematics, Operations and Parts Manuals
Perform basic troubleshooting of communications networks and wiring issues associated with PLCs and computers.
Follows required regulatory codes
Supports manufacturing production builds and testing
Travelling internationally (estimated 50% of time with rotation option) to customer locations to complete installation, troubleshooting of and maintenance of Power Chokes products. Including valves, hydraulics, electrical, electronic and software equipment
Completing JSA, industry and customer required courses
Review, advise and test equipment required for commissioning jobs as available
Review and advise on commissioning or maintenance procedures to be performed in the field
Ensure industry codes are being met
Ensure software versions of equipment and commissioning documents are updated and entered to system for entire department
Responsible for safety of self
Performs other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Commissioning Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience in valves, hydraulic systems, electrical control systems, software
Experience on drilling rigs offshore and onshore
TIA portal training
Awareness of safety standards within the drilling industry
Great interpersonal skills
Sound judgement and decision-making ability
Offshore and onshore qualifications and certifications or ability to obtain these
Valid passport and experience with international travel.
