What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspection Tech position at ADT Solar?
ADT Solar is looking for an Inspection Tech for our Territory. In this roll you will be required to will meet with the Municipal or Utility Inspector and provide adequate information regarding the solar installation process and system components. You may also be required to perform minor maintenance and/or repairs on solar systems at time of inspection. The focus of this role would primarily be solar PV systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PV inspections in accordance with the authority having jurisdiction.
- Meet with city inspectors at the job site to complete onsite inspection.
- Daily management of plan revisions that needed to be delivered on site.
- Analyze, prepare, and validate the sites before an inspection is performed.
- Review inspection reports and communicate with the Territory's Management Team.
- Ensure all documents are properly filled out and correct.
- Proactively resolves any equipment and system issues to troubleshoot and overcome obstacles onsite during the initial inspection.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience (minimum) with PV equipment and installation, preferable residential.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.
- Ability to read electrical plan sets and equipment manuals.
- Previous experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 8 feet, work in extreme environments (hot and cold), perform repetitious duties for prolonged periods of time and the ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as per ADT Solar's driving standards.
