What are the responsibilities and job description for the PV Service Technician position at ADT Solar?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose/troubleshoot both solar and electrical installations
- Provide solutions to various system issues (envoy reconnects, CT issues, etc.)
- Communicate with homeowner prior/during service site visit
- Replace malfunctioning solar hardware and communicate with device manufacturers for approval
- Travel with company vehicles to multiple job sites (daily)
- Coordinate with both Case Manager and Field Support agents to provide updates on work performed
- Assist with the removal and reinstalls as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous solar experience is preferred
- Electrical experience is a plus
- Drywall experience is a plus
- 1 year of working at heights, including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to work in harsh environments such as extreme hot and cold, crawl spaces, roofs, extreme heights.
- Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for service work
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek with overtime.
- Confidentially climb up 40' ladder.
- Navigate roofs up to 12:12 pitch
