Like Retail Business Services, ADUSA Procurement provides services to five omnichannel grocery brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.


Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of allocations in regards to AHOLD DELHAIZE Merchandising multi-week programs (including Bargain Aisle, Wall of Values, TPR Survey, Free Day Events, End Cap Programs, etc.) This includes creating allocation quantities using forecasting tools and methodology, creating Brand surveys, loading the approved quantities into the appropriate applications, and communicating allocation totals and details to all relevant parties.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Allocations & Item Integrity Support: Use forecasting tools and methodology to create quantities of product to support and execute appropriate allocations 

  • Support allocations for all AHOLD DELHAIZE multi-week merchandising programs (including Bargain Aisle, Wall of Values, TPR Survey, Free Day Events, End Cap Programs, etc.) 

  • This support includes error checking of Merchandising templates, utilization of customized tools for creation of distributions, forecasting of long-term multi-week programs, loading of forced distributions into appropriate applications, and communicating allocation totals and details to all relevant parties. 

  • Analysis and Support: Provide analytical support to develop and drive cross-department and cross- vendor supply chain program optimization 

  • Be a subject matter expert for all AHOLD DELHAIZE allocation business practices and systems applications, including the integration with third parties.  

  • Provide analytical support as required to help develop and drive cross-department and cross- vendor supply chain program optimization.  

  • Provide analytical support as required to maintain optimal allocation filter settings. Manage the day-to-day execution and application of allocation filters throughout AHOLD DELHAIZE. 

  • Create and maintain a strong network across the organization, provide reporting and communication upward, laterally and throughout the organization to ensure success of all program initiatives. 

  • Organizational context: 

  • Executes the approved SOP’s for assigned allocation types and processes within the overall supply chain organization.  This position is responsible for ensuring that products that our stores order are included in the future assortment at a high level. This position is also responsible for generating and transmitting the assigned allocation types according to department SOP’s.  This requires collaboration with Merchandising, Brands, AHOLD DELHAIZE warehouses, 3rd party suppliers, and other partners.  This performance has a direct impact on our retail sales in our stores and in satisfying our customers. 

  • Framework & guidelines: 

  • All actives to be performed in order to obtain AHOLD DELHAIZE objectives on SC metrics within the company assigned budget targets and using the appropriate IT systems and approved business processes.  This is to be done while following all local and national legal regulations and Ahold ACM.  Expected to have working knowledge and understanding of the following systems: IMS, Biceps, WMS, PowerBi, selected C&S applications, WWCS, etc.

  • Impacts annual NP retail sales in excess of 13 billion

  • Latitude to recommend policies, strategies and tactics while following all local and national regulations, Ahold ACMs, Bill of Authority, Code of Ethics, and AHOLD DELHAIZE policies and procedures.   

  • Interactions and relationships: 

  • Interactions include but are not limited to Merchandising Leads, Sales Planning Leads, In-Stock Teams, Brand supply chain managers and sales team directors, C&S, other third-party distributors, vendors (1,000 ).
