The Consumer Lending Sales Specialist (CLSS) position is a performance-based, hands-on, customer-focused role responsible for delivering results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations.
Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state regulations and adhering to company policies, procedures, and practices.
This position requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for sales and customer acquisition.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition : Actively assist in meeting the center’s performance metrics as defined by management.
Utilize sales tools to provide an exceptional customer experience and employ sales and marketing techniques to ensure customer growth in storefront and online channels.
Be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of an ever-growing consumer loan portfolio. Present financial solutions based on customer needs.
Develop new relationships and maintain existing ones while working with customers throughout the loan process. Educate customers on the terms and conditions of their loans.
Build trust with customers and internal staff by embodying the organization's philosophy and core values. Deploy marketing efforts in the community to generate sales and customer growth.
Operations, Compliance, & Collections : Assist in managing the P&L to meet all budgeted numbers and management expectations related to center performance.
Adhere to the Company’s policies, procedures, and to all applicable regulations. Maintain accurate cash controls and ensure security procedures comply with Company and Loss Prevention Standards.
Enter customer and transaction information accurately into the point of sales system and maintain accurate customer files.
Perform and document collection calls, field visits, and other approved collection activities. Complete other duties as assigned.
Team & Leadership : Work closely with and support others in a positive, team environment to enhance the customer experience.
Education Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Experience Required
Sales and / or customer service experience required, or equivalent experience. One year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.
Knowledge Required
Strong math skills, professional verbal communication, ability to read and apply complex information, ability to negotiate payment terms, and ensure compliance with industry policies and laws.
Ability to use required computer programs and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements
Standing for long periods, sitting occasionally, walking extended distances, bending, squatting, pushing / pulling, reaching, lifting less than 10 lbs.
regularly and up to 20 lbs. occasionally. Must have access to insured and reliable transportation for tasks including banking and marketing.
Travel
Must have a valid driver’s license and access to insured transportation. Ability to travel within the division for various responsibilities.
Attire
Employees may wear polos, blouses, collared shirts, sweaters, or other professional attire with slacks or jeans and appropriate shoes.
Other
Must be 18 (19 in AL), eligible to work in the USA, and able to complete all post-offer screens, including a criminal background check.
Regular attendance is required, with potential schedule changes to accommodate business needs. Overtime may be required.
