THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manager, Visual Planning role is responsible for leading the Visual Planning team that partners with the Planogram, Category Management and Inventory teams to oversee item eligibility and deployment to stores. This team serves as a liaison to the store teams, ensuring we have the right assortment in place to say yes to our customers and grow sales in the Front Room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned:
- Lead and manage resources to improve planogram and promotional off shelf placement execution for Front Room product categories
- Develop & drive store specific planogram strategy using sales metrics and life cycle management to inform decision making
- Determine & monitor item eligibility & store support metrics, highlighting areas of risk with solution options
- Proactively and effectively seeks input and feedback from cross functional partners to resolve issues
- Identify, develop and implement sustainable process improvements that prevent issue recurrence and improve company results
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with Merchandising and Inventory partners in order to identify and resolve challenges within front room businesses; determine strategy to drive sales and planogram execution
- Manage planogram checkpoint meetings with cross functional leaders to identify and determine best course of action for any risks to on time set for front room changeovers
- May assist in early store resets of planogram updates to identify potential gaps in new SKU inventory
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proficient in the use of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project
- Experience in combining data from various sources together to produce cross-functional analytics
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, including facilitation skills
- Strong analytical skills in assessing business processes, systems, and information flows, as well as compiling and assessing data
- Customer-oriented focus and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Good judgment and decision-making ability
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely and accurate completion of each; outcome-focused and experienced in project management as a means to plan, track, communicate progress and ensure on time delivery of projects.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, or related field; and
- 5-7 years related experience in Inventory Management and/or Visual Merchandising
- Or, equivalent combination of experience and/or education
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position will directly supervise up to 4-5 Visual Merchandising Analysts.
