What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Thermoforming Operator position at Advance Engineering?
Advance Engineering was formed in 1922. Since that time, we have grown into a modern metal stamping facility located in Canton and a plastic thermoforming facility located in Beaverton.
We are looking for our next greatest member to join our team as a lead thermoforming press operator for in-line and rotary presses. We offer a safe and clean working environment with plenty of room for growth.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain formers and presses to ensure continuous production
- Perform SPC quality checks on both machinery and products.
- Diagnosis machine operation for continuous improvement.
- Oversee other operator set-ups and assist as needed.
- Assist packers.
- Wrap and band finished product.
- Set up trim fixtures and equipment.
- Keep all work areas clean
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Skills required
- Must be able to interpret written and verbal instructions in English
- Basic math knowledge
- Must be able to use mics, calculators, calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.
- Mechanically inclined to fits, sizes, and general adjustments of heavy equipment, bolts, nuts, etc.
- Shop, welding, mechanical drawing, and auto repair education desirable
- Ability to operate hand routers.
