Job Summary
The Shop Clerk is responsible for inventory control of parts, supplies and tools in the AES shop and AES service vehicles. The Shop Clerk will generate purchase requisitions in order to maintain the appropriate inventory levels. This position is also responsible for maintenance and record keeping for all AES fleet vehicles. Job duties require independent judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Core Duties and Functions Include:
- Shipping and receiving; checks for accuracy of incoming shipments and insures proper quantities.
- Pulls and stages parts/supplies/tools for jobs, stocks vans and service vehicles.
- Communications with OEM’s and suppliers, field service techs and contractors.
- Responsible for AES shop safety, cleanliness, and organization, including shop and fleet inventory.
- Assists Service Department in creation of takeoffs/quotes and purchase orders.
- Maintenance responsibilities for AES service fleet and facility, including lifts and safety equipment.
- Accessible via company-provided cell phone as needed for after-hours support of field service techs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years’ relevant experience.
- Warehouse / inventory experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communications and record keeping skills.
- Ability to learn shop and field skills; arc/mig welding, assembly, electrical, and hydraulic.
- Ability to operate forklift.
- Ability to work on ladders and man-lifts at elevated heights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
