Advanced Laser (AL) is a full-service metals-focused contract manufacturer, providing metal solutions to a wide range of industries. We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing operations team who can make an IMPACT at our Chippewa Falls, WI location. The Engineering Technician will provide production work centers – lasers, punches, press brake, and panel benders, with CNC programs.

As part of the Engineering Technician team, you will
Determine optimal programming methods which utilize equipment and tooling to most efficiently produce parts while conserving material and machine time
Create programs and nests for lasers, punches, press brakes, and panel benders
Create flat part files to be utilized for program creation
Review engineering production drawings for accuracy and notify engineering of potential improvements to flat geometry or suspected errors
Create set-up sheets and assist in the creation of other manufacturing-related process documentation
Assist production employees with programming-related questions and concerns; including troubleshooting of programs and equipment
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Assist with engineering change request reviews and take necessary corresponding actions.
Utilize the ERP to enter basic routers, BOMs, and work orders
Ensure projects are completed on time
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of parts, processes, software and equipment
