Director Product Planning Supply Chain Operations
The Role:
This leadership role drives Supply Planning from product introduction to end of life to meet customer demand, ensure continuity of supply and meet business revenue goals. The suitable candidate will be accountable for all aspects of supply forecasting, planning and scheduling, pertaining to products for one or more business units and will lead a team responsible for planning and execution of those products.

- Ability to engage in collaborative problem-solving efforts with C-level management and external contacts regarding supply chain issues as well as accounting and financial issues.

- Adept at influencing decisions and developing solutions to complex business situations

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead diverse and global supply chain (including direct materials, manufacturing and component suppliers) to meet delivery goals;
- Responsible for all aspects of cost, quality and delivery required to achieve revenue and margin targets for the BU;
- Manage logistics associated with new product sales as well as RMA service operation;
- Analyze product bookings in order to publish forecasts, commitments and lead times to customers and internal sales;
- Coordinate all aspects of inventory for raw materials and finished goods;
- Oversee inventory control to support customer needs, achieve balance sheet targets, and mitigate inventory risk;
- Work closely with the Sales and Product Group teams to lead and develop opportunities to strengthen the supply chain;
- Partner with Sales and Business Units to facilitate S&OP and long-range planning processes;
- Work closely with finance to manage to corporate policies in areas of inventory accounting and procurement;
- Identify, develop and retain world-class talent across AMD global sites.
Preferred Experience:
- Multi-source supplier network & outsourced manufacturing experience;
- Demonstrated successful experience at a senior manager level with broad supply chain responsibilities;
- Progressive responsibility in Supply Planning, Materials, Product Development, Procurement, and Logistics;
- Experience in ERP initiatives, Advanced Planning Systems, and familiarity with a broad variety of supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures and specific expertise in global supply chain;
Academic Credentials:
- BS/BA: Specialty in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering with MBA preferred;
