Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant for a new opening with our client, a well-established organization located in High Point. The Accounting Assistant should have a well-rounded understanding of GAAP, as well as experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Month End Closing procedures.
Duties
- Support Credit Manager
- Daily cash drawer reconciliation
- Process customer payments and deposits
- Process trade references
- Pull credit reports
- Help resolve customer disputes
- Customer Service
- Set up new accounts
- Month end procedures
- Serve as backup for Accounts Payable
- Assist Controller in daily and month end closing
- Account reconciliations
- Bank Statement Reconciliation
Qualifications
- Experince in A/P, A/R collections, general accounting skills, and commercial credit checks
- Customer service background, strong communication skills, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs
