Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Senior Business Process Consultant for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a Business Process Consultant to analyze and design business processes in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running in this role to reduce process complexity, increase process efficiency, increase process effectiveness, and enable the speed of operational processes. Some duties may include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Deliverables for the Project Management Plan within the timeframe specified
- Cost Benefit Analysis;
- Document Current (AS IS) state
- Document Requirements for Future (TO BE) state
- Perform Gap Analysis
- Document Suggested Information Technology (IT) Solution
- Business Process Models (Narrative)
- Business Process Models Diagram
- Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
- Data Dictionaries
- Data Flow Diagrams;
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) Plan;
- Remediation Implementation Plan
- Comply with Policies and Procedures by working directly with the Department’s Contract Manager
- Prepare documentation that indicates the project complies with policies and procedures.
- Communicate relevant information to the Project Team and Stakeholders per the project’s Communication Plan.
- Facilitate meetings throughout the entire project:
- Proofread meeting documentation to ensure the use of proper grammar and consistent font styles.
- Attend the meeting and communicate with attendees in a clear, concise, and constructive manner.
- Provide meeting documentation
- Make necessary meeting arrangements and create needed artifacts to fulfill meeting objectives.
- Create a meeting agenda and send it to attendees in advance of the meeting.
- Keep meeting notes highlighting key action items and decisions and indicating clear due dates with any next steps needed. Send copies of the meeting notes to attendees within three (3) Business Days following the meeting.
- Address Project Team conflict and communication problems proactively.
- Review required documentation evidencing the deliverable for completeness and correctness before submitting it to the Project Team and Stakeholders.
- Obtain acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Contract Manager and appropriate Stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in performing business analyses on IT projects;
- 3 years in a lead Business analysis-type role
- 10 years of total IT business/industry work experience
- Experience analyzing and/or developing Oracle and/or .NET applications
- Experience analyzing and/or developing Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL databases
- Experience in conducting meetings with individuals and groups of people to discuss business processes.
- Experience with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques is beneficial.
- Experiences in working with IT technical staff to determine the infrastructure components within which any potential solution or modification would need to be able to operate.
- Experience working on projects where processes and technology solutions include a financial component.
- Experience conducting Cost-Benefit Analyses
- Experience in business process re-engineering
- Experiences in deriving business process and data requirements from the reading and analyzing of process and systems documentation.
- Experiences in translating the information from meetings and written materials into process models and/or process flow models.
- Experiences to create a data dictionary.
- Good verbal & writing communication skills.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Visio for creating process model diagrams is preferred.
Education:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in one of the computer sciences fields or in management information systems
or
5 additional years of work experience in information technology, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation
