Mechanical Engineer, Acoustics

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 USD per year

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site involved in execution of the Structural Acoustic Technology for the Navy. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform acoustic analysis, integration and development for naval platforms
• Perform field testing, data acquisition and data QA
• Perform data processing and analysis
• Perform acoustics signature predictions and mitigation analysis

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years of data processing and analysis experience desired
• Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to conduct data acquisition and QA
• Ability to perform data processing and analysis
• Ability to perform signal processing
• Efficient with programming in MATLAB and Python
• Knowledge of machine learning
• Strong background in physics and math
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to travel.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
