Role Introduction
Responsible for the delivery of programmes of work that are technically or organisationally complex and carry a high degree of risk, from initiation into service. The management of programmes of work including the associated projects, their dependencies, interactions, budget and resource, leading and mentoring the Project Management team. Defines the Programme Governance and Stakeholder Management strategy
What You Will Do
- Drives revenue and margin growth for the project and programme management team
- Ensure the best utilisation of resources, balancing margin achieved with meeting customer expectations
- Supervises the work of project staff and may delegate work to external contractors / suppliers / consultants to ensure deliverables are met
- Ensure programmes s are delivered in line with best practice methodology (Managing risk, governance quality gateways, issue resolution and reporting)
To provide pre-sales support to close major project opportunities ensuring risk mitigation by the inclusion of a quality statement of work and caveats and assumptions.
What You Will Have
- Programme and Project Management qualification essential, preferably Prince2 and MSP.
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously
- Experience of managing, direct or matrix, project managers, technical resource and other resource assigned to a programme
- Experience of project delivery within a Professional Services/Managed Services/Service Delivery and IT services environment
- Experience in managing deliverables via 3rd party vendors in a high profile and/or technically innovative enterprise solution
