Research Associate Molecular Breeding
We are open minded to college graduates with experience in crop science, plant breeding genetics, plant science, biotechnology, or other related fields.

Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and keep track of molecular breeding projects including marker-assisted selection, marker-assisted backcrossing, and fingerprints with the lab and crop breeding teams across geographies.
· Analyze and organize genotypic data generated by the molecular lab.
· Discuss the results with lead molecular breeding scientists, lab managers, and research associates to solve issues in a timely manner.
· Generate reports from the genotypic data and ensure timely delivery of marker-assisted selection and backcrossing results to breeding teams worldwide.
· Curate and store genotypic data in appropriate databases for use in molecular breeding projects.
· Maintain high level of confidentiality about the company procedures and datasets.
Required and Desired Skills:
· B.S. degree with experience in crop science or M.S. degree in plant breeding, genetics, plant science, crop science, biotechnology, or other related fields.
· Experience in molecular breeding applied to plant breeding pipeline.
· Knowledge of molecular markers and experience in genetic data interpretation and analysis.
· Experience with a programming language R and/or python would be desirable.
· Excellent organizational skills are required for this position. Successful person should demonstrate ability to track, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet the timelines.
· Proactive, self-driven, and self-motivated person with high accountability.
· Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with international team of scientists.

Physical Requirements:
1. Prolonged periods of standing at laboratory tables. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
