The role you’ll contribute:
BI (Business Intelligence) Developer, under the supervision of the Analytics Director, will be mainly responsible for visualization and data model development, ensuring best practices are followed, and collaborating with the Analytics and ETL team members to ensure accurate and timely deliverables that meet client specifications. Working in conjunction with Population Health Analysts and AIT Population Health ETL, the BI Developer will support project lifecycle completion. BI Developer will proactively build relationships with stakeholders and project sponsors to better educate self about the healthcare industry. Will continually maintain working knowledge of the toolsets used by the Population Health Analytics Team as well as emerging tools and methodologies.

Create Tableau and Power BI applications from enterprise data warehouse
Create Tableau and Power BI data models and interactive visualizations
Create static reports using Tableau and Power BI extracts
Take ownership of projects assigned and support other team members with tasks to complete
Assist team members with project sponsors and ensuring timely deliverables
Build the ETL automation process for Table and Power BI applications with the help of the AIT Population Health ETL team
Design and configure the Tableau and Power BI applications’ front-end calculations (i.e. set analysis, aggregations, etc.) as per business requirements
Responsible for interpreting business needs of stakeholders and develop analytical solutions
Coordinate with other developers on the team to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information
Collaborate with application analysts and report/dashboard end users to analyze, provide specifications, and document projects supported by Analytics
Document and tests work products and conduct data quality checks on a regular basis
Work in partnership with the Data Warehouse team, Analytics team, and other stakeholders concerning the accuracy of data and efficiency of processes
Be familiar with diverse data collection, ETL, and database technologies
Adhere to corporate standards and best practices
Analyzes the feasibility of, and develop requirements for, new application and enhancements to existing applications; ensures the application fits the needs of users
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar fields (e.g., Health Information Informatics Management),
3-5 years of experience as a BI Developer, Project Lead, Software Engineer, or related position. Experience should include developing, testing, and implementation of reports and dashboards (Tableau or similar BI tool)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master's Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics or any other similar fields
3 years of experience in Healthcare IT
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS STRONGLY PREFERRED:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Tableau Design and Developer experience
Highly competent in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or Business Objects to provide business intelligence solutions and reports to provide simple and rapid access to KPIs
Intermediate working knowledge of SQL and ETL automations
Troubleshoot scripting logic when issues arise
Working with clinical healthcare data
Working knowledge of clinical processes and terminology
Experience with Clinical Analytics, Medical Informatics and/or Quality Measures
Self-motivated, independent and goal-oriented, a fast learner with good communication skills
