Schedule: Full-Time Shift : Day Shift Location: AdventHealth Daytona Beach – 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach, FL 32117 The role you’ll contribute: The Director of Inpatient Services is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the center. The Director assumes 24-hour accountability by setting measurable goals and objectives so that optimum quality patient care is delivered, and plans are developed to exert that care in a sensitive and caring manner. The Director will have oversight for ongoing measurement, action planning, and evaluation methods related to all dimensions of performance inclusive of budget, productivity, culture of safety, associate engagement, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and clinical outcome targets for the areas of responsibility. The value you’ll bring to the team: Develop and maintain nursing service objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing procedure manuals, written job descriptions for each level of nursing personnel, and a written organizational plan of the nursing service that delineates the functional structure of the nursing service and the lines of communication. Participate in the recruitment and selection of nursing personnel and recommend termination of employment when necessary. Complete nursing staff schedules as necessary. Ensure that the total nursing needs of residents are met by assigning a sufficient number of nursing personnel for each tour of duty. Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of written resident care policies, in coordination with the Adventist Care Centers (ACC) Standards Committee and the assigned Quality Management Specialist (QMS) and recommend changes in policy when indicated. Be responsible for planning and/or conducting orientation and nursing staff development programs for nursing personnel. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required A minimum of 5 years of related experience including 2 years in management required.
