Advisor Compensation Specialist


Location(s):     12325 Port Grace Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128 / Candidates seeking 100% remote work from home may be considered.

Summary:

We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to join our Advisor Compensation Processing team. The main responsibility of this position includes managing and updating the workflow process for the Advisor Compensation Processing team. This position is also responsible for answering Processing-related questions from internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and manage team workflow:

  • Monitor departmental e-mail boxes to identify which items to extract and pull into the workflow process and determine proper priority and handling for non-workflow items

  • Receive physical (i.e. paper) statements, transfer to electronic format and introduce item(s) into the workflow process

  • Analyze statement to determine appropriate course of action – including whether to process or reroute, and appropriate next step in the workflow depending on the sponsor and type of activity

  • Review bank reports and utilize/create internal reports to identify if cash has been received and determine appropriate deposit type

  • Create daily batch deposits within internal system for processing.

  • Serve as main point of contact for answering cash receipt-related questions from other internal customers

  • Assist and collaborate with various departments (i.e. Accounting, Advisor Compensation Inquiry Group, Supervision, etc.)

  • Edit and delete deposits, batches, and transactions after appropriate review and determination of proper treatment

  • Utilize external applications to convert data into proper formats.

  • Manage and process return mail and facilitate corrections.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to make rule-based and analytical decisions

  • Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment

  • Ability to identify and research discrepancies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months previous Advisor Compensation experience preferred

  • Knowledge of general securities industry terminology and practices preferred

  • Knowledge of internal applications (i.e. NBS, MIPS, etc.) preferred
