Position Requirements:
~Associates degree in Computer Science or Health Science
~Typically requires 3 years of experience in application support and desktop support.
~ Proficient Computer skills
~ Proficient in Medical Imaging None Required. ~Ability to handle sensitive PC equipment and printers that may require lifting and moving (40 to 50 lbs.).
~Ability to extend oneself to lend RIS support beyond an 8~hour shift, different shifts, or weekends to all Advocate sites.
~Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations with physicians.
~Available for on~call for PACS and RIS/Dictation support.
~Strong ability to communicate with all hospital personnel.
~Adaptability in dealing with change.
~Ability to use problem~solving skills, able to resolve problems and identify creative solutions.
Purpose:
Technical support for Radiology Department with experience with PACS, dictation systems, as well as Windows operating systems and an understanding of network infrastructure and desktop support.
Provides training for Radiology and hospital staff and performs routine technical and system administrative support to the PACS system. Update system files and provide reporting tools to department directors and department managers. To be the liaison and trainer for the Radiology PACS system and dictation system.
This position has multifunctional responsibility to include, but not limited to providing on~site technical RIS/PACS expertise, and support RIS/PACS training for staff. In addition, this role will also provide support for installation of RIS/PACS peripheral equipment and work with vendors to bring new devices online and troubleshoots existing devices.
Accountabilities:
Performs departmental quality assurance program to insure appropriate and optimal equipment utilization. Understands technical troubleshooting with Window's operating systems, as well as PC hardware and networking.
Quality Management Responsibilities
Coordinator acts as the central point and assists Diagnostic Services Supervisors/Chief Techs in evaluating, servicing, and ensuring the timely resolution of all information system related problems/issues.
