Position Requirements:
Needs ability to perform the following vascular studies - carotid duplex, lower extremity arterial duplex, aortoiliac duplex, renal duplex, DVT studies, pseudoaneurysms/upper extremities arterial studies
This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups treated, i.e., understand child growth and development, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various groups is preferred
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Ability to be flexible~ work different sites in order to accommodate staffing needs.
Ability to communicate with patients.
Ability to perform lifting and transferring related to
patient care (in the category of medium ~ lifting up to 20~50 lbs occasionally.)
Ability to move ultrasound equipment for studies to various departments.
Ability to work in a fast~paced environment with established time constraints.
Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Provides competent and proficient technical skills in the performance of various ultrasound procedures implementing procedural standards and protocols.
Provides patient care specific to procedural requirements and patient's needs within established departments' protocols.
Provides patient care specific to procedural requirements and patient's needs within established department protocols.
Assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards which follow the appropriate regulatory guidelines.
Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work environment.
Maintain equipment and examination rooms.
Development and on~going maintain of collaborative relationships with development staff, physicians, and related external contacts in order to meet departmental objectives.
Maintain professional competence by attending inservice presentations, staff meetings and outside continuing education programs appropriate to the needs and goals of the department.
